In our community, the homeowners association is responsible for roof replacements. We initially solicited a contract to do the first 11 buildings. In the bidding process, we spoke with Matt Lentz and Chris Hloska at The Roofing Company and were very impressed with their responses to all of our questions. We were especially impressed with the quality of the roof shingles and other materials they use. Not so much with some of the other bidders. The Roofing Company bid was the lowest and there were no extra fees. Once the roof replacements began, their crew ensured that they proceeded smoothly and quickly. They always left a clean job site at the end of every day. Their project supervisor, Dennis Wood, was instrumental in this process. He quickly resolved any issues that occurred and always kept us informed as the job proceeded as to when the work crews would be here and the status of any pending issues. In the end, the 11 buildings were completed in the time frame specified at the beginning of the job. In summary, we were very impressed with The Roofing Company and would highly recommend them for anybody having a roof replacement job done. Ken Mason

We had a new roof installed recently and I can not recommend this company enough. Truly amazing and so professional. Dennis was the supervisor and constantly updated us on issues and progress. Our old roof was a mess but it's a beauty now. I was very impressed by the cleanliness as they worked and when they were done there was not a single piece of debris anywhere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This company is AWESOME. The best customer service from the ladies in the office to the guys that replaced my roof. Cleaned up so well, you couldn't even tell they were here. Great finished product. BEST price around. I recommend this company to all.

Had a great experience with The Roofing Company. Their estimator was on my roof, provided detailed options for different shingles. They only required payment to pull the permits up front. Payment was due on satisfactory completion of the work. The crew of 9 was up on my roof only days after signing the contract. The work was completed in 3 days with steady work. Looks great. Impact resistant shingles and wind mitigation report at the completion for save on insurance. I would recommend them to anyone.

A Largo Roof Replacement Done Once and Done Well

A roof you only replace once a generation is worth planning carefully, and most of a good replacement is decided before anyone sets foot on the roof. The point is to put on a roof suited to the home and to this climate, built properly and to current Florida code, so it is the last one you have to think about for a long stretch. We handle full roof replacements for homeowners across Pinellas County, and we treat each one as a long-term decision, not a rushed one.

Your New Largo Roof

The first real decision is what goes back on. Largo homes wear everything from architectural shingle to tile, metal, and flat membrane over the lower sections, and the right choice balances how it looks, how it stands up to sun and storms here, what you want to spend, and how long you plan to be in the house. We walk you through the trade-offs in plain language and let you make the call. And if we get up there and find a roof with years of life still in it, we will tell you straight and point you toward a Largo roof repair instead, because a replacement only makes sense once the old roof is genuinely past saving.

The material gets the attention, but a roof’s real lifespan is set by the work that goes in under it: the underlayment sealing the deck, the flashing fit tight to every wall, valley, and penetration, and the ventilation that pulls heat out of the attic instead of letting it sit on the underside of the roof. Done right, those are what carry a roof to its full service life. Done poorly, they are what cut it short, no matter how good the shingles are. We carry Owens Corning’s Platinum Preferred Contractor designation, which only a small slice of roofers ever qualify for, and it lets us extend a manufacturer warranty on your new roof well beyond what a standard installation comes with.

Largo Roof Replacement FAQs

Here are the questions we hear most.

There is no flat price, because the cost comes down to a handful of things: the size and pitch of your roof, the material you choose, how many old layers have to come off, the condition of the deck once we tear off, and any upgrades current code requires. The only way to give you a real number is to see the roof, which is why we offer a free estimate with no obligation.
Most Largo homes are done in a few days, depending on the size of the roof, the material, and the weather. Tile and metal usually take longer than shingle. We give you a clear timeline before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect from tear-off to cleanup.
We install architectural shingle, tile, metal, and flat membrane (TPO) on the lower sections. The right pick balances how it looks, how it holds up to Florida sun and storms, your budget, and how long you plan to stay in the home. We walk you through every option for your new roof installation and let you make the call.
Yes. A full roof replacement requires a permit, and we handle that for you. Homes inside Largo city limits are permitted through the City of Largo, while properties in unincorporated areas go through Pinellas County. Either way, the work is built to the current Florida Building Code and passes inspection before we consider the job finished.
It depends on the age of the roof and how widespread the problem is. If the damage is isolated and the roof still has years of life left, a repair is the smarter spend, and we will tell you that straight. When that is the better path we will point you toward a Largo roof repair instead of selling you a replacement you do not need.
It can, when the roof failed because of storm or wind damage rather than normal age. We document everything with photos, give you a detailed estimate you can submit to your insurer, and walk you through the process. You can read more on our storm damage page, and we recommend filing sooner rather than later since claims have deadlines.
Yes. We offer flexible financing through trusted partners, including a fixed rate plan at 9.99% for 120 months with equal monthly payments. Most applications are approved within minutes online. Ask us about it when you request your free estimate.
A roof you only replace once a generation is worth planning carefully, and most of that planning happens before anyone gets on the roof. Picking the right material for your home and this climate matters, but so does the work underneath: sealed underlayment, tight flashing at every wall and penetration, and proper attic ventilation. Get those right and the roof reaches its full service life. That is the whole point of doing it once and doing it well.
Yes. We are a licensed Florida roofing contractor and an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, a designation Owens Corning awards to only a select group of contractors. It qualifies your new roof for longer manufacturer warranty coverage on both the materials and the workmanship than a standard installation comes with.
Yes. We replace roofs throughout Largo, from Harbor Bluffs and Ridgecrest to East Bay and the neighborhoods around Largo Central Park and West Bay Drive. We are a local Pinellas County roofing company, so if you are anywhere in or around Largo, we have you covered.
