Dallas and Armando did a great job. They were highly professional, and communicated throughout the process very well. We had a new roof put on ,and a third nail put in our hurricane straps all finished in one day. The job came in as quoted and the work looks great I would highly recommend this company.

I hired The Roofing Company to replace the shingle and flat roof on my home. They did an excellent job, Ezekiel and his crew were fantastic installing my new roof but also did a great job removing and replacing the rotten wood fascia and siding on my chimney. I would recommend The Roofing Company to any homeowner looking for a roof replacement or repair. Very professional, organized, fair price and the clean-up was exceptional. Thanks for the excellent service!

Dave came out when I asked for a quote and kept on top of things as we contacted other companies for quotes. The roofing company didn't come in the cheapest, but they did come in the best price for the high quality material they used. They gave me three quotes, and we signed the contract two months later. The roofers came the day they said they would and finished in two days. There was damage to the light in the back of the house from the old tile falling, but Chris came out and fixed it right away. Even through the Covid pandemic, they were professional when they were here and kept us informed about the inspection afterwards. Top Notch!!!

Dennis was the first person I interacted with from The Roofing Company. He was on time, easily answered my questions, and was available whenever I had follow up questions. He walked me through what to expect when his team arrived and why his company used the brands they did. Ezikiel and his team did an amazing job. They showed up early, worked hard, and had the roof dried in before lunch. Each member had their own specific function and job progressed like clockwork. Before they left, the yard was thoroughly cleaned up and checked for any stray nails/debris. I would not hesitate to refer them to my friends and neighbors.

The Bayonet Point Roof Replacement That Keeps You Covered

Welcome to Bayonet Point sign surrounded by colorful flowers, landscaping, and greenery in Bayonet Point, FL
Replacing a roof in Bayonet Point is not just about putting new material on the house. Homes this close to the Gulf deal with heavy sun, humidity, salt air, storm exposure, and current Florida wind requirements, so the details behind the roof matter just as much as the shingles, tile, metal, or flat roofing system you choose. We handle roof replacement for homeowners across Pasco County, and we build each Bayonet Point roof with proper ventilation, fastening, flashing, underlayment, and cleanup from start to finish.

Picking the Roof, And Installing It Right

Once the old roof is off, the choice is what replaces it. Shingle is the common pick here and the most affordable, and a quality architectural shingle stands up well to Gulf wind and earns strong wind ratings. Tile lasts longer and suits some of these homes, and metal sheds wind and heat and tends to score best of all on a wind inspection. We explain how each performs and what it does for both your protection and your coverage, then let you choose without a push toward the priciest line. And if we get up there and the roof still has real life left, we will say so and steer you to a Bayonet Point roof repair instead, because there is no sense replacing a roof that still has years to give.

On a roof near the Gulf, the install is also what the insurance inspector is grading. The way the deck is nailed down, with the right pattern and ring-shank nails, is what holds the roof on in a hard wind and what earns the wind mitigation credit; a sealed deck and fresh underlayment hold water out even when a storm pushes rain where it should not be; the flashing is replaced and sealed at every wall and joint; and the attic gets enough ventilation that heat is not left to wear the roof out early. Done to that standard, the roof both lasts and inspects well. We are an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, a rank the company reserves for a small group of vetted roofers, and it lets us secure a manufacturer warranty on your new roof that goes well past what a standard installation includes.

Bayonet Point Roof Replacement FAQs

Here are the questions we hear most.

The main variables are the size and pitch of the roof, how many layers have to come off, the material going on, what condition the deck is in once it is exposed, and whether any code upgrades are required. Homes in the Bayonet Point area vary quite a bit in age and layout, so the number we quote you comes from actually seeing it in person, not from a formula over the phone. We provide a free estimate with a written, itemized breakdown.
It does. Homes in coastal Pasco County take more wind than homes farther inland, and salt air is harder on some materials over time. We steer Bayonet Point homeowners toward products with strong Florida wind ratings and away from entry-level lines that hold up fine in sheltered areas but show age faster near the water. Metal performs best in terms of wind resistance and longevity in this environment. Architectural shingle with a current Florida wind rating is the common middle ground. We explain the actual performance difference for your specific home, not just the price difference.
Shingle, tile, metal, and flat TPO for lower roof sections. You can explore what we install in more detail on our replacing your roof page. The short version: shingle is the most common and most affordable, tile lasts longer and looks distinct, and metal offers the best combination of wind resistance and long-term durability for a home near the coast. We go through the trade-offs for your specific home rather than steering you to the highest-margin option.
Yes. Bayonet Point is an unincorporated community in Pasco County, so the permit goes through Pasco County Building Services rather than a city building department. We pull the permit for you, build to current Florida Building Code, and the job is not considered complete until it passes inspection.
Florida Building Code specifies how roofs are attached: the nail pattern, the nail type (ring-shank holds significantly better than smooth-shank in uplift), and how the deck connects to the wall framing. Getting these right is what a wind mitigation inspector grades and what holds the roof on in a serious storm. A properly installed roof in a Bayonet Point coastal zone typically earns meaningful wind mitigation credits on your homeowners insurance. A roof that was nailed to older code or installed without attention to these details often does not. We install to current standard every time, not just where it is inspected.
Yes, when the damage resulted from a qualifying storm or wind event rather than normal wear. We document the damage thoroughly with photos and produce a detailed written estimate formatted for your insurer. Visit our storm damage page for more on how the process works. File promptly, as Florida policies have claim windows that close faster than most homeowners expect.
Age, the extent of the damage, and cost are the three factors. A roof with solid life left and localized damage is almost always worth repairing. When repairs are becoming frequent, the material is past its rated life, or the cost is approaching replacement territory, it makes more sense to replace. We get up there, show you what we found, and give you an honest read. If a repair is the right answer, we say so and send you to our Bayonet Point roof repair page instead.
Yes. We offer financing through trusted partners, including a fixed rate plan at 9.99% for 120 months with equal monthly payments. Most applications are approved in minutes online. Mention financing when you schedule your estimate and we will walk you through the available options alongside your quote.
Yes. We are a licensed Florida roofing contractor and hold the Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor designation, a qualification Owens Corning extends to only a select group of contractors in Florida. It allows us to back your new roof with manufacturer warranty coverage on both the material and the workmanship that goes beyond what a standard installation qualifies for.
Yes. We replace roofs throughout Bayonet Point, including Timber Oaks, Gulf Harbors, Bay Club Estates, and the neighborhoods along Little Road and US-19. Bayonet Point sits within our broader service area serving Pasco County homeowners across the county, so wherever you are in the area, we cover it.
